"Brick", "Emergency", "Unfold", "Current", "Hush", "Own" - A Week's Worth of One Minute OneWord Poems

BRICK

Brick
laced dirt
under our selves

ready
sun aimed
for good, bone

dry
the hands
that placed them

there
in our
denials acceptances

dirt
brick fists
of blood read.

~~~~~~~~~~
EMERGENCY
Emergency!
Go to
the sewer, swim,
believe.
Try anything.
Don't eat it
Live
like you
mean it, urgent
to
your cells
emergency, try living
the
moment of
conception, the emergence.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

UNFOLD

Unfold
into feathers
be the strip

Unfold
pained petals
ivory sutures healed

into
steps -- glaciers
across your age

~~~~~~~~~~~~
CURRENT
Current
words strike
hearts in the minds
Readers
bear arms
and silver pens
Birds
harbor feathers
wade the current
in
daily feet
pink cement divers
strivers
for a
chance reconnaissance, whistling
~~~~~~~~~~~~

HUSH

Hush
be water,
pond beyond wind.

Rain
on your
own parade: be

stationary,
stationed on
the cross -- pollination

assured.
Be everything
that's not sneeze.

~~~~~~~~~~
OWN
Own
up to
it -- the daze
of
praise, the
paying off, all
your
own imaginings
dashed: salt. pepper.
